◆MOLECULAR AND SUPRAMOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF FUNCTIONAL GROUP TOLERANT AND AQUEOUS POLYMERIZATION CATALYSIS

＜講師＞　Prof. Dr. Stefan Mecking　(University of Konstanz）

Traditionalolefinpolymerizationcatalystsareverysensitivetoanypolarcompounds.Theirscopeislimitedtohydrocarbonsassubstratesandreactionmedia.Thislimitationcanbeovercomebyfunctionalgrouptolerantlatetransitionmetalcatalysts.Theseenabletheuseofalternativefeedstocksaswellasunconventionalreactionmedia.Amechanisticunderstandingiskeytorationalizetheseprocesses.Thisappliestothemolecularlevel,thatiscatalysispathwaysofchaingrowthormonomersynthesis,aswellasthesupramolecularlevel,thatisparticleformationmechanisms.Theresultingpolymersandnanoparticlesallowforchemicalrecycling,novelprocessingconcepts,andmostrecentlybiodegradationmodellingofmicro-andnanoplastics.
