TEAM触媒固定化設計チーム

安全・安心かつ豊かな社会が希求される中、化学技術の果たす役割も益々大きなものになりつつあります。当チームでは、化学プロセスにおける廃棄物の更なる低減、エネルギー効率の一層の向上、循環型資源への原材料転換を目指し、その実現のためのキーテクノロジーである触媒の分子・原子レベルでの設計・開発を行っています。具体的には、当センターの4つの中核的課題の中の「触媒固定化技術」に主として関与する中で、様々な化学品を高効率、高品質かつ低環境負荷で製造するための分子触媒の固定化・リサイクル技術の開発や、触媒の低コスト化、省資源のための貴金属代替・省量化技術の開発に取り組んでいます。また、二酸化炭素からの有用化学品製造技術や有機ケイ素化学品の高効率製造技術の開発も合わせて行っています。

二酸化炭素から基礎化学品・機能性化学品を製造するための触媒反応の開発
二酸化炭素 (CO2) から含酸素化学品を合成する技術の開発を行なっています。主な合成ターゲットは、ポリウレタンやポリカーボネート材料の原料となる有機カルバメートやジアルキルカーボネートです。火力発電所排気ガス相当の低濃度CO2や常圧CO2を使用することのできる反応系の開発を目指しています。
分子触媒の固定化・リサイクル技術の開発
分子触媒の強固な固定化が可能な多点結合型リンカー
分子触媒をシリカ担体に均質かつ強固に固定化可能な多点結合型リンカーを開発しました。有機電子材料などの合成に有用な鈴木カップリング反応に本リンカーを使用した3点結合型固定化パラジウム錯体触媒を用いることで、生成物中へのパラジウムの混入防止が可能です。
シリカ固定化分子触媒における協働効果
リチウムイオン電池の電解液などとして有用な環状カーボネートを高効率で製造できる固定化分子触媒を開発しました。第4級ホスホニウム塩をシリカに固定化することで、連続流通反応での生産が可能になるだけでなく、固定化しない場合に比べて活性が100倍以上増大する特異な協働効果を見出しています。
磁石で回収可能なマグネタイト固定化酸化オスミウム触媒
酸化オスミウム触媒はオレフィンのジヒドロキシル化反応に汎用され、これまでに濾過で回収可能な固相固定化酸化オスミウム触媒が各種報告されています。私達は簡便かつ迅速に触媒を回収するために、磁性ナノ粒子であるマグネタイト(Fe3O4)に酸化オスミウム活性種を固定化し、磁石に引き寄せ回収可能なマグネタイト固定化酸化オスミウム触媒を開発しました。
温度に応じて相間移動する液相固定化触媒
温度変化に応じて水相と有機相を移動する配位子および遷移金属触媒を開発しました。反応時(加熱中)には、触媒が水相から有機相へ移動するため、例えば水に溶けにくい原料を用いた場合でも反応が円滑に進行します。室温で水相を分離することで容易に触媒の回収・再利用が可能であり、濾過等の作業が必要ありません。
ナノ空孔を反応場とする高効率合成
シリカ骨格内にアルミニウムを含むメソポーラスシリカ(Al-MCM-41)が、重要な炭素-炭素結合生成反応であるカルボニル化合物のシアノシリル化や向山アルドール反応に、極めて高い触媒活性を示します。 Al-MCM-41は嵩高い基質にも有効であり、触媒リサイクルや流通反応での連続合成も可能です。
有機ケイ素化学品を高効率製造するための触媒反応の開発
シロキサン化合物の配列構造を精密に制御して合成する技術を基盤として、新規シリコーン材料/含シロキサンハイブリッド材料の創出やシロキサンのモノマー配列構造と各種物性との相関を体系化することを目指した研究開発を行なっています。
